Iran's Future Is Being Shaped Right Now

Today, Iran once again finds itself at a historic juncture.

Contrary to conventional wisdom and to the hopes of many quarters, the Islamic Republic has demonstrated a remarkable capacity to endure and recover from two devastating rounds of conflict. It survived the 12-day war with Israel in June 2025 and, far from collapsing, withstood a second, ruthlessly calculated assault by the United States and Israel that began on the last day of February 2026 and lasted for some 40 days.

Despite the loss of its Supreme Leader, a significant number of senior civilian and military officials, more than 5,000 ordinary citizens, and an estimated $350 billion plus in economic damage, the Iranian regime has defied widespread predictions of it's imminent collapse. Instead, it has displayed not only considerable resilience but also a striking capacity to regroup, recover, and reassert its authority.
